The front of the iPad is very clean because it now has even bezels all around, without the Touch ID button at the bottom.

The display is very reflective. For some reason, Apple decided to make this iPad thicker than the iPad Air, which means they had to retool it so that the display is not laminated.

The contrast is much worse when you're watching videos. It is a dramatic difference, as you can see.

The A14 has no issues keeping up at 60 FPS, and the graphics look great.

As far as general performance and snappiness go, this thing feels nice and fast.

The only downside in performance that I noticed is some general stuttering because this does not have ProMotion.

Regardless of which iPad you choose, they basically run and play all the same apps and games.

Slightly frustratingly, the base storage option is just 64 gigabytes.

The real difference is the camera on the front. All the other iPads have cameras that are on the left-hand side when you're holding them in landscape mode, compared to this one, where it is perfectly centered.

The combination of the higher 12-megapixel camera and the improved processing of the A14 chip means we're getting much more detail.

It has a high and fast refresh rate.

The display measures 11.6 inches diagonally.

It has a 144 hertz refresh rate.

It has a 2800x1800 resolution, which gives us a nearly 300 pixels per inch density.

The processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Octa-core.

We have a Dimensity 9000 chip.

It's not great, to be honest. The graphic settings are lower in Recfest.

The OnePlus Pad is powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 chipset.

The OxygenOS processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 octa-core.

The software running on the OnePlus Pad is Android 13 with OxygenOS 13.1 layered on top.

With the pad, OnePlus is offering three years of Android OS updates.

This camera had better be good.

The OnePlus pad does have an 8-megapixel lens tucked away in that tiny top bezel.

The OnePlus Pad also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera.

It might not have an OLED display like the standard S9 series big screen GRE plus model, but it does have a very good IPS display.

This has a 90 Hz IPS display.

Accessories are interchangeable, like the keyboard cover that we have here, which is also compatible with the standard S9 Plus.

When it comes to performance, we have the Exos 1380. I know enthusiasts are always like, 'Oh no, Exos! I want a Qualcomm.'

They say it's 40% faster than the previous generation Fe, and that's about accurate.

It's perfectly competent; it can play Civ, as you can see. You can play Genshin Impact, and you can play any game on it. Typically, games are the most demanding.

The software, as always, is very good. One UI 5.1 is on here, but sadly, it's still Android 13.

Happily, you do get four major OS upgrades and five years of security software updates.

Typically, it takes a couple more weeks after the standard S9 series and the higher-end series get the updates before we see them trickle down to the more affordable model.

The 12-megapixel front camera is no doubt mostly going to be used for video conferencing these days.

The dual 8-megapixel rear cameras include a main and an ultra-wide lens, and they're reasonably competent.

Unusually for a tablet, this is IP68 water-resistant and dust-resistant.

The best new feature is probably that 13-inch display. It looks great and is cheaper than a 13-inch iPad Pro. To me, that's a win.

Speaking of which, it isn't nearly as good as the OLED of the iPad Pro, and it lacks ProMotion. However, it still looks solid and supports 100 nits of brightness, HDR, and True Tone.

Now, going back to the display for a second, this is the same Liquid Retina display that you will find on previous iPad Airs. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but I am disappointed that they did not add the 120 Hz ProMotion technology to this display.

On the inside, Apple moved to the M2 Chip, which is also not especially new, but it is a powerful chip. I'll tell you now, it's more than enough for your average user.

The 10-core M2 holds up just fine. I didn't run into anything for which it felt underpowered, frankly.

The previous model had the M1 chip, and to be honest, you are not going to find a difference at all with the M2 chip.

Frankly, and I know you've probably heard this before, iPad OS seems to be the limit more than anything. I can multitask better with the 13-inch screen, though, so that's a perk.

This time, Apple relocated the front-facing camera, placing it on the landscape side instead of the top portrait side. The idea is that more people are using their tablets horizontally, so the camera position needs to be adjusted.

Speaking of introducing something that should have been offered from the beginning, the new front-facing camera is now in the landscape position. I think Apple has realized that more and more people are using these iPads, specifically the larger ones, in landscape mode.

It has a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x display with a 1752 by 2800 resolution, just like the regular S9, and supports up to a 120 hertz refresh rate.

The S9 series tablets also feature new vision booster technology that makes the screen appear more vibrant under bright sunlight.

The Snapdragon Gen 2 processor.

Performance-wise, you can see it's a significant improvement over the Tab S8 series, and it will easily be able to play games like PUBG Mobile and Asphalt 9 at high graphics and frame rate settings.

To me, though, when playing PUBG Mobile, I don't feel like it looks like much of an improvement over the Tab S8 series.

The software here is going to be pretty much identical to the regular S9, just a little bit larger.

You can multitask with up to three apps simultaneously and resize any of the windows.

Dex mode gives you a more desktop-like interface, with a mouse cursor, a taskbar at the bottom, and resizable windows for that desktop experience.

If you already own the S7 or S8 series tablets, then I don't think the S9 is an absolutely necessary upgrade unless you want to be future-proof for new Android updates.

You can see the dual camera setup there in the back, which is very similar to what you see on some of the S23 series phones.

With this one, you get two cameras on the back: a 13-megapixel wide and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide. Then, you've got a 12-megapixel ultra-wide on the front.

It can shoot video at up to 4K resolution at 30 frames per second, both on the front and the back.

I personally don't think it's anything amazing, but I hardly use it anyway.

These new OLED panels are arguably the most interesting feature of these new iPads.

Despite having very bright screens, they still have very good battery life.

If you really need color-accurate screens, the best color accuracy will come from the newest technology.

This is the new 2024 iPad Pro 13, featuring the ludicrously fast M4 chip.

This literally gives the M3 Pro in a MacBook Pro a run for its money while also being fanless.

Aside from these synthetic benchmarks, it's actually really hard for me to distinguish the M1 chip devices from these new M4 chips.

It's all just hamstrung by iPad OS.

The problem with reviewing this device right now is that we have Apple's WWDC event just around the corner, where they'll announce all the new software.

Especially now that they've placed it in this central landscape orientation.

The front-facing camera is now mounted on the landscape edges, right on the sides of the iPads.

The display itself is 8 inches and has a decent 1280 by 800 resolution.

We found that the low definition was noticeable, especially when reading smaller text on the display.

The colors were surprisingly better than we expected, although the blacks could have been a little deeper.

We didn't expect lightning-fast performance, but the user interface worked well on the tablet to overcome any sluggishness.

Amazon claims it has improved the speed by 30% compared to the previous model.

As an example, Asphalt 9 would often suffer from a little stuttering or frame dropping.

The Fire OS interface is well-designed and intuitive.

It's practically ready to use as soon as you take it out of its box.

For those venturing beyond the Amazon ecosystem, you may find the Fire HD 8 tablet limiting.

The weakest feature may be the dual 2-megapixel cameras.

It handled video chats efficiently, provided the lighting was ample.

It's built around a 14.6-inch OLED display, which is larger than that of many laptops.

The Tab S9 Ultra's 120 hertz refresh rate makes movements on the screen, like swiping, extra smooth, and it's adaptive.

As far as brightness goes, we measured about 350 nits maximum when controlling it manually with the slider, and this can boost up to 640 nits in auto mode when needed.

The chipset of the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, featuring slightly higher clock speeds.

The Tab S9 Ultra performs exceptionally well in benchmark tests, topping the charts as far as tablets go.

In our prolonged stress tests, the Tab S9 Ultra did an excellent job, so the sustained performance is respectable too.

The interface here is Samsung's One UI 5.1, built on top of Android 13.

The Tab S9 Ultra's interface supports both the default tablet mode and the desktop-like DeX mode.

You get specific features enabled by the S Pen, such as drawing, taking notes, and air actions.

The main camera produces excellent daylight photos with a lot of fine detail, balanced sharpness, a wide dynamic range, and punchy colors.

The main camera's low-light photos are good, detailed, and sharp, with a wide dynamic range and realistic colors.

The 12-megapixel front-facing ultra-wide camera also captures superb photos with a super wide field of view.

The new 11-inch display has a 1920x1200 resolution. This is a TFT LCD display, and it has been upgraded to have a 90 Hz refresh rate.

The Galaxy de A9 Plus has an 11-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, which is roughly full HD.

The next con is that we have some very thick bezels here.

This comes packed with the Snapdragon 695 processor, so your average scrolling and navigation throughout the tablet will be perfectly fine.

I just received an update for Samsung's One UI 6.0, and it's really nice to see and use Samsung's latest software here.

The Galaxy T A9 Plus runs Android 13 with One UI version 5.1.1 out of the box.

Samsung is generally the forerunner in this respect, as it typically keeps its tablets up to date for much longer than the competition.

We still have a single-lens camera on the back, and we also have a landscape-oriented front-facing camera.

The front camera has a resolution of 5 megapixels, which is definitely sufficient for video chats.

There's an 8-megapixel main camera on the back, which is slightly better than some but much worse compared to mid-range smartphones.

The Fire Max 11 is a massive 11-inch tablet, as the name heavily suggests.

The panel visuals on this Almighty screen are super crisp, thanks to the 2000 by 1200 pixel resolution.

While it's not OLED tech, thankfully, the contrast is reasonably good.

Even at maximum brightness, you will struggle to see what's going on outdoors if it is a sunny day.

The Firemax 11 is powered by a Mediatek chipset, the MTK 8188 J, to be precise.

Everything feels pretty smooth here on this tab, with the occasional little weed judder here and there, but nothing major.

This is supposed to be 50% faster than Amazon's second-fastest tablet.

The Fire Max 11 doesn't run Google Android or anything like that; it runs Amazon's own Fire OS.

Bear in mind that there is no Google Play Store access here; you're using Amazon's own app store instead.

The Firemax 11 will serve you ads unless you pay Amazon an extra ten dollars.
