This thing is rock solid. I am literally squeezing it with both hands as hard as I can right now, and I can't get it to flex.
The clicks feel fast and responsive, thanks to the high-quality Omron switches that they're using.
The build of this guy is incredibly solid. I mean, there's no rattling, no creaking, and no flex.

It's very well designed; it feels good, it's heavy, it's sturdy, it doesn't feel cheap, and it's a pleasure to use.
The box it came in was very nicely printed. You can see it has a kind of glossy finish going on, but on the back, it was bashed up pretty badly.
This cord is actually of really nice quality. I pay attention to these little things, and when I feel like a cord is cheap, I'll tell you guys. But this one is actually really nice.

The mouse would skip and wouldn't respond. You'd sometimes have to hold it at a weird angle to the table, and then maybe it would respond. It was just a mess.
The textured nature of the coffee table top doesn't seem to interfere with the ability to move the mouse around the screen.
For me, 1000 Hz is way too fast; the pointer flings all over the screen as if it's being teleported. In contrast, 125 Hz is a little sluggish but much easier for me to control.

It's a thick device, but your hands fit comfortably on this mouse.
I like the way it feels. It's got a good grip on it, and there's a nicely textured area right here. It just feels nice.

They are reprogrammable; however, they start out as DPI down and DPI up.
I think the software, Red Dragon, really falls short not because it doesn't do what it says it will do, but because they claim it can do things that it doesn't.
The issue is that Red Dragon states in the manual that you will be able to set the color and effect for the logo separately from the rest of the mouse, but you aren't able to do that.

This has quite a bit on it. On the left side, there are two buttons. One has little nubs on it that are really grippy and easy to differentiate.
Configuring profiles, adjusting the DPI, and customizing buttons can all be done through a free software app.
Red Dragon software is not very user-friendly, and there's a delay when you apply settings.

The build quality of the Viper Ultimate is fantastic. The shell has a grainy texture, and there is no flex anywhere on the mouse.
I've dropped this mouse perhaps five times over the past year, and it's completely unscathed.
The charging slots on both the dock and the mouse are specifically designed for the included cable. Therefore, if this cable gets damaged or you lose it, it will be really hard to replace.
